School Attendance Officer/Admin Assistant/First Aider

Start Date: September 2024

Salary: Scale 2, £10,241.48.

Contract: 20 hours per week term time only

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, friendly, Attendance Officer/Admin Assistant/First Aider, to join our busy School Federation Office. We are looking to appoint someone who will:

Attendance Officer Role

  • Input daily attendance and absence marks into SIMS, for both First and Middle Schools
  • Collect and analyse attendance data, reporting to both parents and senior leadership team
  • Work closely with staff and parents to ensure good attendance and punctuality of all pupils
  • Monitor and ensure correct attendance codes are entered into registers
  • Arrange meetings with parents and headteacher, if necessary
  • Produce termly reports for headteacher and Governing Body
  • Produce termly pupil certificates and rewards for good attendance
  • Ensure parents and carers understand attendance procedures
  • In conjunction with Governors, annually review the attendance policy of the Federation
  • Carry out general office administrative duties such as greeting visitors, answering telephone, photocopying, data entry, school shop, pupil queries, checking and responding to emails and production of some letters.

Office Assistant/First Aid Role:

  • Type/copy parental letters
  • Deal with incoming telephone calls
  • Offer First Aid
  • Deal with general incoming queries
  • Issue food bank vouchers
  • Issue holiday vouchers

Training will be provided but administration skills including knowledge of Excel and Word are essential.

Teaching Assistant TA2 required September 2024

Start date: 1st September 2024

Salary: TA2 Scale Point 5 to Point 6 £23,500 to £23,893 FTE

Contract: 3 Year Fixed Term Contract, 30 hours per week, Term Time Only

Abbey Park Schools Federation includes, Abbey Park Middle School, Abbey Park First and Nursery School, as well as a Governor led Pre-School, all on the same site. We are looking for a motivated, innovative team member to cover a full-time position of 30 hours per week. (6 hours per day).  The candidate will be part of a team in our KS2 classes, although there may be a need for the successful candidate to work across other areas of the Federation.

The successful applicant will ideally have some experience and hold a Grade ‘C’ in both English and Maths.  The candidate will be a highly effective and innovative team member, ensuring a high-quality education for all of our pupils with the highest standards of learning and achievement.  The promotion of inclusivity and a nurturing approach are essential skills.

The successful candidate will make a significant contribution to the continuing success of our Federation and who holds the same ethos and values as our Federation.

The Federation has an Autism Base along with a much higher proportion than National Average of children with significant complex need, therefore inclusion, meeting the needs of all and resilience must be areas of strength.

Vacancy for Lunchtime Supervisor at Abbey Park First and Nursery School

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: Vacancy, TA1, Scale Point 1, 5 hours per week FTE £22,366 to FTE £23,114

Contract: Term Time only.

Abbey Park First and Nursery School are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated, Lunchtime Supervisor.

The role will involve supervising the children during lunchtime and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. 

The successful candidate will need to be a good communicator with high expectations and a real empathy for children. Some experience of working with or caring for children on either a voluntary or professional basis would be advantageous.  Training will be provided.
