Pupil Premium (Middle)
Middle School Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is allocated to children from low-income families who are currently, and in the past 6 years, known to be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) and for children who have been ‘looked after’ (LAC), continuously for more than six months. It is also available for adopted pupils and for the children of Service families. From April 2015, £1320.00 (Year 5 & Year 6) and £935.00 (Year 7) has been allocated per pupil. From April 2016, the funding remains the same per pupil. LAC, service or adopted pupils receive slightly different allocations.
As a group, children who have been eligible for FSM at any point in time have consistently lower educational attainment than those who have never been eligible for FSM.
