Curriculum Design and Intent
Our curriculum ensures that children at Abbey Park Schools Federation are equipped with the knowledge, skills and values they need, in order for them to have a positive impact on themselves, their community and the wider world.
For this to be achieved, our curriculum is built around the National Curriculum and our two curriculum threads: sustainability and identity and equity. These curriculum threads are repeated throughout the school from EYFS to Year 7 and together, create an ambitious curriculum that we are proud of.
Sustainability
We want our children to know that the future of the planet is vulnerable and the way we choose to live our lives, directly impacts on us and future generations.
Identity and Equity
We want our children to embrace their uniqueness, engage positively with diverse identities and cultures, and believe in fairness, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
